This is a piece of choral music for a 3 part mixed choir written by Carole Bayer Sager, David Foster and Thomas Fettke published by Alfred Music Publishing. In this arrangement by Fettke, the song is arranged with the hymn “Lead Us, Lord” by Samuel Wesley.

The lyrics and music are a prayer for guidance and direction from God especially when we lose our way and lose sight of who God is and that is with us. Some of the lyrics include: “We pray you’ll be our eyes and watch us where we go, and teach us to be wise…” It combines this beautiful contemporary melody with a traditional hymn “Lead us O Lord” which further says, “Lead us in your righteousness.”

Review

Our women’s choral group sang this during the worship service and I found it a very wonderful way to express my need for guidance to God. I liked the fact that it included parts of a familiar church hymn asking for God’s guidance.
