Description
In the song “The Potter’s Hand” by Darlene Zschech, we are invited to surrender ourselves to God’s plans for our lives by using the imagery of a potter forming a vessel in the way that suits his wishes. Some of the lyrics include “Lead me, mold me, use me, fill me. I give my life to the Potter’s hand.”
Review
Our choir did an arrangement of this song by Rhodes which also incorporates words from the old hymn “have thine own way Lord, Have thine own way. Thou art the potter, I am the clay.” This song is a worshipful way to commit our lives and futures to God and to remind ourselves that as we allow God to shape us and our lives, we can be transformed into the person God wants us to be.
