Description
Seaside is a planned resort community on the Gulf of Mexico where the architecture of the homes charm with front porches and quaint courtyards. In 2001 the community worked together to create an amazing structure which feels very much like a church, yet refrains from any specific religious motifs. It is made of dazzling white wood and is Gothic in architecture, with a bell tower reaching 68 feet tall, making it the tallest structure in the resort.

The church has a typical center aisle, and heart pine floors. The soaring roof is 50 feet tall to create a beautiful interior space full of light. The four foot tall chapel bell tolls the hour.

How I used this place of prayer
We were vacationing and were walking around the streets of Seaside when we happened upon the chapel. We noticed people coming and going through the door, so we couldn’t resist going inside. I sat on a pew and drank in the majesty of the interior, feeling closer to God and as if I were in a sanctuary of peace.
