Have you ever wondered what’s being prayed in heaven?  Here is a heavenly prayer for you using the Bible as your prayer book that collects the Bible verses in Revelation that record the prayers in heaven heard by the Apostle John during his vision.

You can pray this heavenly Bible verse prayer out loud or pray it silently whole meditating on the words and imagining the glory of being in heaven in Christ’s presence as history unfolds and comes to a climax when peace will reign on the earth after the final defeat of evil.

This prayer can also be used as a prayer of praise or as a funeral prayer to help us see and participate in the reality of heaven.

Prayers from Heaven in the Book of Revelation

“Holy, holy, holy

Is the Lord God Almighty,

Who was, and is, and is to come. (Revelation 4:8)

You are worthy, our Lord and God,

To receive glory and honor and power,

For you created all things,

And by your will they were created and have their being.  (Rev. 4:11)

You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its eals,

Because you were slain,

And with your blood you purchased men for God

From every tribe and language and people and nation.

You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God

And they will reign on the earth.  (Rev. 5:9,10)

Worth is the Lamb, who was slain to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength

And honor and glory and praise!

To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb

Be praise and honor and glory and power,

For ever and ever!  (Rev. 5:12,13)

Salvation belongs to our God,

Who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.

Amen!

Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength

Be to our God for ever and ever, Amen!  (Rev. 6:10,12)

The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ,

And he will reign for ever and ever.

We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,

The One who is and was to come,

Because you have taken your great power

And have begun to reign.   (Rev. 11:15,17)

Hallelujah!

For our Lord God Almighty reigns,

Let us rejoice and be glad

And give him glory!

For the wedding of the Lamb has come,

And his bride has made herself ready.

Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.”  (Rev. 19:6-8)

He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”

Amen.  Come, Lord Jesus.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people.  Amen.  (Rev. 22:20,21)
