Good Friday Prayer Mediation

I was most moved at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, Israel when we saw a slab of rock where bodies were placed to be washed and wrapped for burial centuries ago.  Here Christ’s body was placed to be wrapped in linen before a hasty burial.  Many people were kneeling amid the noise of the tourist crowd to touch and kiss the rock.  I took a moment to kneel and felt an awesome awareness of the reality of Christ’s sacrificial death and how I am saved from my sins and from condemnation as a result of his death and resurrection .  Picture yourself here in the video and then say a prayer of gratefulness for Christ’s death for you.
