Description
This Chapel in the Pines is on the grounds of an old west dinner show at the Bar D Ranch. The main attractions of the ranch serves up hearty western meals served on picnic tables as you are entertained by performers doing western ballads and songs.
The chapel is open as guests arrive and we heard a cowboy poet share some of his poems about God’s wide open spaces and the beauty of creation, then he gave a testimony. The chapel itself is a simple frame building but when you enter you are surprised by gorgeous stained glass windows depicting scenes from the life of Christ.
How I used this place of prayer
Before the dinner began, we arrived early to enjoy the children’s playground and gift shops and sat in on the cowboy poetry in the chapel. Afterwards I spent a few moments enjoying the beauty of the stained glass windows.
